This busy commercial building, with an estimated 10,000 daily visitors, encountered persistent restroom maintenance issues. The men’s restroom, serving employees and guests, were plagued by frequent clogs, leaks, and increasing odor complaints—problems exacerbated by the building’s age.
Previous attempts to address these issues included using a strong urine crystal remover from another brand every weekend and applying a commercial epoxy for leaks. These solutions, however, fell short. In search of a more effective approach, the customer reached out to NCH Asia Pacific.
We tackled the problem with a two-pronged strategy. First, we applied Banish, our specialized urinal maintainer and descaler, to the drain pipes, toilet seats, and bowl crevices. Banish helped enhance water flow, removed rust, lime, scale, and uric acid, and eliminated unpleasant odors. Second, we used NCH Partsmaster Aquastick to quickly seal leaks and prevent future water damage.
Previously, the customer faced challenges with another brand’s product, which required labor-intensive small-batch mixing and had safety risks due to dripping. Banish, in contrast, comes in a user-friendly one liter bottle that simplifies application and minimizes waste with its drip-proof lid.
The results were striking: the customer achieved a 75% reduction in labor costs with just one Banish application per week. Complaints about poor water flow and foul odors were fully resolved, proving that our innovative and dependable maintenance solutions can effectively address the needs of even the oldest buildings.
