Challenges
- Poor COD and BOD indicators with the threat of $13,000 government fine
- Kitchen lines blocked with grease
The hotel used chemicals and hired a high-pressure cleaning company worth $6000 to flush pipelines to unblock the pipeline without any permanent and desirable resolution. They also installed a grease separator –though it decreased the volume of grease and cleaning frequency, it did not solve the problem of poor wastewater discharge.
Solution
2 BioAmp equipment in the kitchen and dishwashing room cleared the lines leading to the STP. biological bacteria aided in achieving better COD and BOD parameters. The COD became stable below 500mg/L. The fully automatic dosing system also eliminated the need for manual dosing and high-pressure flushing of pipelines. The hotel was able to save 33% cost with our wastewater treatment program.
BioAmp in Place
BioAmp works better when put at the source of waste to help clear the entire line leading to STP.
