Tire Manufacturing Company Saves Php11,373,300 in 3 Years on Breakdowns and Downtimes

Our customer Leo Tire Mfg. Corp. manufactures motorcycle, tractor, and bicycle tires and tubes for local and international markets.
Motorcycle and bicycle inner tube production relies on two kinds of compressors – 9 units of High Pressure and 12 units of Screw-Type. Since the line is critical, the customer always kept 3 compressors of each kind on standby to ensure continuity of production. The company can produce 93,600 tubes daily during full-scale operation. Hence, it is important to ensure that there are no break-downs or else air loss can reduce production by as much as 30%. However, the downtime occurred three times a year.

Moreover, the customer had to constantly take up 6 months of preventive maintenance when it used another brand’s products. Despite excessive monitoring and top-up, the performance was not up to mark. Guaranteed bearings and mechanical seals had to be frequently replaced.

NCH Asia Pacific applied Premalube Black, a multipurpose, heavy load, extreme pressure, and high-temperature grease to all compressors. After using our product, all issues were resolved effectively. The customer didn’t experience any breakdown and downtime for consecutive three years which resulted in Php 11,373,300 in savings.
