Problem

Many types of equipment used in the manufacturing industry rely on hydraulic power, and a common issue across hydraulic systems is oil leakage. The customer, which manufactures and sells hydraulic control equipment for industrial vehicles and construction machinery, was also experiencing oil leaks from the hydraulic units of its machine tools.

In one piece of equipment with particularly severe leakage, approximately 4 liters of hydraulic oil had to be topped up weekly, resulting in an annual oil consumption of about 208 liters—roughly equivalent to one drum of oil.

Result

We proposed Lubralift NT as an additive to reduce oil leakage, thereby lowering hydraulic oil consumption and eliminating the labor involved for frequent top-ups. The results were as follows:

  • Hydraulic oil leakage was eliminated, reducing oil purchase costs
  • The need for hydraulic oil top-up work was eliminated
  • The risk of environmental degradation caused by oil leaks was removed
  • Reduced oil consumption contributed to lower CO₂ emissions

Thanks to the excellent seal-protection performance of Lubralift NT, they successfully eliminated more than 200 liters of hydraulic oil leakage per year. As a result, they reduced oil and labor costs and overall environmental impact.
