Hydraulic Oils

Hydraulic systems have been called the lifeblood of heavy-duty equipment, often operating in demanding conditions and therefore some common problems can occur.

COMMON PROBLEMS WITH HYDRAULIC OIL, THE LIFE BLOOD OF EQUIPMENT

Hydraulic systems have been called the life blood of heavy duty equipment. This equipment is often operating in demanding conditions and therefore there are some common problems that can occur. Blown hoses, leaking seals and oil as well as erratic operation can slow equipment productivity down, or even stop it working leading to expensive downtime. The equipment is often working in dusty, wet and hot conditions all of which can degrade the life blood of the machine which is Hydraulic oil. Studies show that over 75% of Hydraulic oil system failures are linked to contamination, and that oil leaks of 1 drop per second equal up to 1500ltrs of lost oil annually, not to mention the environmental impact and cleanup needed for leaked oil. All of these problems are common and cost companies thousands of dollars.

BENEFITS OF USING A HIGH QUALITY HYDRAULIC OIL

Often some of the common problems like overheating, leaking oil, blown hoses, and erratic operation can seem like they are inevitable and are a normal part of the Hydraulic system lifecycle. By using a higher quality oil that is designed to withstand tough conditions to last longer and protect the Hydraulic system, many of these problems once thought of as normal, can be eliminated–saving time and money!
